Belt and Road Initiative: China-Mali Energy Cooperation Project Installation in Full Swing

Bamako, Mali – As a key livelihood and infrastructure project under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, a landmark China-Mali energy cooperation project has entered the critical on-site installation and commissioning phase, with all construction and technical work advancing steadily and in full swing.

This 57MWh projects officially launched for on-site installation on April 15, the project is formulated with a clear construction timetable, aiming to complete full-scale grid connection, systematic debugging and official commissioning by April 30. Rooted in the long-term in-depth practical cooperation between China and Mali across infrastructure construction, clean energy development, agricultural modernization and people’s livelihood improvement, this energy project focuses on optimizing local power supply systems, improving water conservancy supporting facilities and upgrading basic transportation supporting infrastructure. Upon completion, it will effectively fill the gap in Mali’s energy supply capacity, greatly elevate the level of local public service facilities, inject strong impetus into regional industrial development and economic growth, and lay a solid foundation for sustainable local development.

To ensure the smooth progress of the project and guarantee construction quality and operational stability, the professional technical service team from DoGo Power has been stationed at the construction site all the way, providing full-process on-site guidance for equipment installation, system wiring, operational debugging and performance testing. Facing complex on-site construction conditions, diverse equipment matching requirements and local technical barriers, the Donggao technical team has overcome multiple practical challenges with rich overseas engineering experience and professional technical capabilities.

During the construction process, the team conducted one-on-one technical guidance for local construction personnel, standardized every installation procedure and testing link in strict accordance with international industry standards and project technical specifications. Meanwhile, they responded efficiently to various on-site technical problems and construction difficulties encountered in real time, targeted troubleshooting potential equipment hidden dangers and operational defects, and put forward professional and feasible optimization solutions. The on-site technical support and problem-solving services have effectively avoided construction delays and quality risks, ensured the standardized, safe and efficient advancement of all project work, and helped local construction teams master core installation and debugging skills.

After the successful completion of grid connection and official commissioning, the project will comprehensively boost the upgrading and iteration of Mali’s energy infrastructure system, effectively solve the problem of insufficient power supply restricting local economic and social development, and bring stable, reliable and tangible livelihood benefits to thousands of local residents. The solid implementation of the project will further enrich the connotation of pragmatic cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, deepen the mutually beneficial and win-win cooperative partnership between China and Mali in the energy and infrastructure fields, and consolidate the friendly bilateral cooperative relations between the two countries.
